Dorthy Hodgkin 1946

 

 
 Dorthy made the discovery of the structure of penicillin and insulin around the time of WWII. Her first discovery was vitamin B12 in 1946 and 1956 this was possible due to her extinctive calculations and carful-precise analysis of x-ray diffraction imaging as well as crystallography.  In this she had a successful outcome with the formalization of vitamin B12, this vitamin aids the production of red blood cells which are  vital for the body's immune system. Overall, she made incredibly new advancements in the medical field.
