Henri Becquerel (1896)

 Henri Becquerel accidentally discovered radiation in 1896 when he accidently left a piece of uranium inside his bedside table and next to be an undeveloped photograph. he realized that the reaction caused the photo to be exposed and developed. With this discovery it developed a change within the paradigm and started the shift from classical physics to atomic physics opening a door to understand the relationship between matter and energy
