Sidney Gottlied

Gottlied was a chemist and spy for the C.I.A during the late 1940's and 1950's. He was in an operation called "Project MKUltra" which aimed to create mind controlling techniques through drugs that were specifically to be used during the war of North Korea. With him being a chemist and having the knowledge, he joined the NRC (national research council) and explored the discovery of what chemical properties certain plants or chemical reactions. he explored ergot alkaloids in attempts to find vasoconstrictors, in which the attempts were successful. The MKUltra experiments were horrid because of the violent experiments such as electric shock.
