Wilhelm Ostwald
He developed the "Ostwald Process" which is the method allows production of nitric acid by oxidizing ammonia, this provides the main raw material which was the most common fertilizer of production. This process was less expensive yet more efficient in turning Nitric acid which decomposes into water and forming a strong acid.
